Basic Kinesiology Practice (BKP)
This professional training program was developed by Dr Bruce Dewe MD and his wife Joan Dewe.
The Basic Kinesiology Program is a stand-alone course, giving you powerful basic Kinesiology techniques to use with family and friends. Completing this course is a first step towards an exciting career in Kinesiology.
Through 10 units, students develop practical skills and confidence in Basic Kinesiology.
Each unit consists of 16 hours face-to-face classes, as well as 16+ hours of practice and assignments. Practical and computer knowledge tests are part of each unit.
Parijat is a Senior Faculty Member with the International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice (ICPKP).
Students are enrolled with ICPKP and will be able to take part in the international student forum via the internet.
The 10 units of BKP certificate program covers part of year 1 of a 4 year part-time Diploma Course, recognized internationally. This training meets the needs both of the younger person, choosing Kinesiology as a career, as well as the mature student, retraining for a second career. After 4 years of study you will achieve "Advanced Diploma" level. This course will empower you to learn, grow and embrace life as a Practicing Kinesiologist, so in turn, you can help others along their path of healing and development. The BKP certificate is recognized by the Australian Kinesiology Association (AKA) and the Australian Institute of Kinesiology (AIK) as 300 hours of accredited Kinesiology training.
Add Anatomy & Physiology and Senior First Aid and achieve Certificate IV in Kinesiology.
Certificate IV is Nationally accredited.
The "Diploma" is in the process of accreditation. It will include the Certificate IV and 24 more training units. You can combine it with other modalities towards required hours for registration. When you have achieved competency in BKP, you are able to register as a Level 1 Kinesiologist with the AKA. This means that you can get insurance when working, and you may begin working as a Kinesiologist while you complete your Advanced Studies.
